We chose the canned ground meat instead of the canned pieces/chunks because the ground meat probably has less liquid (gravy) in the can, and more meat. Also, if there are any problems with the meat being too tough to chew, you don't have to worry, because it is ground beef. And, when serving portions, it will be easier to divide the same amount between people. In addition, if you need to give a dog some of it, you can mix it easier with other food, to provide him with some protein, and the same goes for people.
