Garbage bags have multiple uses. We chose these because they are heavy-duty and have the quick tie instead of the drawstring. These type of garbage bags can easily be made into a raincoat. When you are caught in a rainstorm, make a hole with your hands, or with a knife or scissors, on the bottom closed end of the bag for your head to get through. Then make a hole on either side of the bag near the hole for your head, that your arms will fit through. Take a second garbage bag and tie it around your head like a hood.
