We see this pitcher as having more uses than just to heat milk.

We like the design and the larger size that it comes in. It has a thick bottom, so it won't burn the contents. We own the larger one of these, and heat up other liquids in it like soups, water, etc. We use it for solid foods mixed with liquids too. It is very versatile and has a very sturdy handle. We plan on testing this pitcher on a campfire, in the future. We chose this, rather than a coffee pot, mainly because we liked the design better and the handle is all metal.
