We have not purchased this ourselves, but may, at some time in the future. We went with this type of construction for non-boaters who would keep a boat for emergency use only. If they purchased an inflatable boat, it might rot in an extended period of storage, rodents may get at it, it might puncture since it is inflatable, all of which would deem it unusable. Also, we liked the high weight capacity of this boat and the description that claimed ease of use, and also that it is a 3 person boat, low seats, and good stability.
