I have this item. I have owned it since 2014. I use it for my labrador retrievers. One of them is 100 pounds. I have used it for them to get into an SUV and also my Ford E350 Super Duty Box Truck. It enables them to get into the front passenger's seat. One of my dogs needed to use this ramp all the time, to get into the truck. My other dog sometimes can make it to jump into the truck, and other times, needs this ramp to get in. There is no way I can help my dogs by lifting them, to get into the truck. They are just too heavy. So, I use this ramp. It still looks brand new. It is lightweight, but heavy-duty and sturdy, at the same time. I love using it, and, I could never get my dogs into my truck without it. It telescopes open and to close, by sliding. When it closes to half its size, it can be carried like a suitcase with its middle attached strap. It also has a snap that closes it, so it doesn't slide open, when you are carrying it. Since it already has a handle, it may not be necessary to purchase the carrying case.
