Men's and Women's Hiking Boots:

1.

Columbia Women's Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped Boot, Ankle Support, High-Traction Grip

Comes in many different colors.

I have purchased these COLUMBIA NEWTON RIDGE PLUS WATERPROOF HIKING BOOTS. I have been looking for my ideal hiking boots for decades, or just hiking boots that fit me and were comfortable. I had never found any that had all the features that I have been looking for, which includes being waterproof and fitting my feet correctly, until I found these. They are definitely waterproof. I have never had a bit of water get into the boots even in heavy rain storms and deep snow. (The pair I am wearing now has already lasted me 4 years through heavy rain, mud, deep snow and ice, and the suede still looks new. It never absorbs any dirt. The soles are not worn at all. They look new too. This is the only shoe I wear every day, but please note that I haven't hiked with them. I just go out with my car and do errands, so wear may vary per person depending upon how much walking one does and under what conditions underfoot.)

These boots are very lightweight, waterproof, and are extremely comfortable. They did not have to be broken in. They were comfortable from the first moment I put them on, and I bought them and walked out of the store wearing them. Now I order them online. I bought some in different colors, but I am still wearing the first pair I bought, which I mentioned above, that they have already lasted four years and look like new.

I have also had a problem finding the right width in a hiking boot. I am a B (on the small side of Medium), but all other hiking boots in this width are too wide, and many are made with an extremely wide area where the toes are, resulting in your foot swimming from left to right in the front of the boots.

The width in these boots fit me perfectly.

I have also tested the waterproof factor, and found it excellent.

This particular review is for a woman's hiking boot.

If you are having trouble finding a hiking boot that fits correctly and is comfortable, and really need something waterproof that you can walk the distance in, then "test drive" these boots. They just might "fit the bill".

I would also like to mention, that you should get the suede. The boots in this style that are not suede will break down and tear to pieces after a year. The first pair I bought were the grey quarry color and they were not suede. They were very comfortable and waterproof and had all the excellent features, but after a year, they fell apart. The next pair I purchased were the gold suede boots. I have been wearing them every day for more than 2 year , and they are still in excellent condition with no breakdown. The soles aren't even worn at all. I wear them in heavy snow and on very rainy wet watery ground, and they are still completely waterproof.
