(Guide Gear Canvas Hunter Sleeping Bag, -30°F
No longer available, but I found a perfect replacement.
First, let me tell you about this sleeping bag that is no longer available. I bought 2 of these -30 degrees Guide Gear Canvas Hunter Sleeping Bags.
I have been recommending this sleeping bag very highly. First of all, this is not a sleeping bag that you can carry when hiking or camping. It is just too big and heavy. This can be transported in a camper, RV, truck, or car, or used in your home. I have been using this sleeping bag in my home since 2010. I am saving a lot of money on heating oil by using it.
I keep it unzipped and opened up on my full-size bed, like a comforter. It really keeps me warm, and I can keep the thermostat lowered down, usually to 40 degrees F. If the SHTF and there is no heat in your home or RV or camper, this minus 30 degree sleeping bag will help you survive. I wash it once a year or year and a half in the laundromat in the largest washing machine and dry it in the laundromat dryer. I got rid of all my comforters. I used to pile 5 or more comforters and blankets on top of each other and they never kept me warm. Now I use this sleeping bag and one or two blankets underneath it and a sheet to keep the sleeping bag clean, and I stay warm in the middle of winter.
SO, PRESENTLY THE -30 DEGREE SLEEPING BAG IS UNAVAILABLE, BUT I HAVE FOUND A PERFECT REPLACEMENT.
