More Precious Than GOLD!

All over the internet, we are told, "Buy GOLD!" "HURRY! Invest in Gold."

Of what use is gold when the SHTF?

Can you eat it?

Can you burn it to keep you warm?

Can it comfort you, in times of stress or turmoil, like a good friend?

Can it shelter you from the elements?

And most of all, can you drink it to quench your thirst?

No, I don't think so!

The most important thing to "invest in" that is more precious than gold is WATER!

And I don't mean invest, in the original definition of the word.

I mean, know your plan of how you are going to acquire it.

If you are indoors, do you have a well where you can set up a manual hand pump that works without electric power?

If not, do you know the location of an outdoor Spring? Is it close enough for you to get to, to acquire water and carry it back to your indoor or outdoor location?

If not, is there a safe area where you can stock pile bottled water, and have you calculated how much you need, and for how long you think you will need it, before times are back to normal?

Have you calculated how much drinking water per person, how much drinking water per pet, how much water to wash yourself with, how much you need to cook with, how much you need to wash dishes, pots and pans, and clothes? (And remember there won't be any water in the toilet to flush, and the toilet won't flush anyway without electric power. Do you have an alternate way of going to the bathroom too? If not, you better figure it out now, before there is a crisis, because then it will be too late.

And for how long you need water, also goes into the equation of your calculations.

This preparation should be thought about and acted upon as soon as possible, because there may not be any water to acquire during times of crisis. Shelves in the supermarkets will be bare. The electric power will be gone, and your faucets won't work.

If stock piling, hopefully, you will be able to find a place or more than one place, to store your bottled water that is safe and secure.

If you are in an outdoor situation, like camping or backpacking because you must leave your indoor location for some reason, I hope you have prepared beforehand to be in a location where there is a water source, or you have stockpiled water at that location.

Let us all hope for the best, be prepared, but hope that having to go into a crisis mode never happens.
