Lights Out Desert!

TOSS YOUR COOKIES! This is not the time to make them! Mainly because you are not able to.

Here is what you can do instead.

In preparing for a crisis situation, or if you are out camping, you obviously want to have some nutritious food with you. Peanut butter is high in protein and raw honey has a lot of nutrients. Peanut butter is one of the number one things chosen by Preppers, Campers, and Hikers because it is high in protein, and doesn't need refrigeration. For now, I am going to give you information on what to do, if you are craving something sweet, but are not able to use electric power in your abode, or if you are out hiking or camping and can't, for whatever reason, heat up something on the campfire.

If you are a good Prepper, all over these types of websites, you will find some of the food items on their lists are HONEY, PEANUT BUTTER, and OATMEAL.

I have a "no cook" recipe that will satisfy your craving for something sweet, and has quite a bit of nutrition too.

Here is the recipe:

********NO ELECTRIC, NO PROBLEM!********

Lights Out Desert!

Honey or Raw Honey: 1 Tablespoon

Peanut Butter: 1 Tablespoon

Uncooked Oatmeal: 1/4 cup

Shredded Coconut: 1 Tablespoon (optional)

Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips: 1 Tablespoon (optional)

Place the honey, peanut butter and oatmeal together, in your stainless steel camping cup, or in another type of cup you have on hand, and mix it up and press it around the cup with your spoon, until it is all mixed and stuck together. Then add the coconut and chocolate chips and mix it in. Then you can eat it, by licking it off your spoon.

Measurements can vary, depending upon your own preferences. Obviously, if you are camping or in a crisis situation, you may not have a measuring spoon. Just add equal measures of honey and peanut butter together, and add twice as much oatmeal. Also, the amounts you measure can be altered to suite your taste.

It tastes great just with only the HONEY, PEANUT BUTTER and OATMEAL, without the Chocolate Chips and the Shredded Coconut. Or you may want to add something else to it, like CINNAMON, RAISINS, OR MAYBE SLICES OF APPLE, if you happen to have them on hand.

Hey, this recipe is good to make even if the S doesn't HTF. Then I guess it would be called, "Lights On Desert".
