1 bar (4.5 ounces) of soap: Dr. Bronner’s, Kirk’s Castile Soap, Ivory, ZOTE, or Fels Naptha. ( I have always used the Fels Naptha bar soap,)
1 cup borax
1 cup washing soda
Directions
Grate the 4.5 oz bar soap with a hand grater. Grate it with as small of a grating as possible.
Add 1 cup of borax
Add one cup of washing soda.
Put this mixture in a plastic or glass container with a lid and shake it up to mix it.
Use 1 Tbsp per small load (or 2-3 Tbsps for large or heavily soiled loads).
