Each batch yields approximately 32 ounces (between 32-64 loads based on how many Tbsps used per load).

Ingredients
  • 1 bar (4.5 ounces) of soap: Dr. Bronner’s, Kirk’s Castile Soap, Ivory, ZOTE, or Fels Naptha. ( I have always used the Fels Naptha bar soap,)

  • Grate the 4.5 oz bar soap with a hand grater. Grate it with as small of a grating as possible.

  • Add 1 cup of borax

  • Use 1 Tbsp per small load (or 2-3 Tbsps for large or heavily soiled loads).
