Ransacked! How to Prevent it.

We've never seen this idea on any survival websites that we have visited. It may be on some survival websites, we just haven't found it. We are not guaranteeing that this will work, but there is a possibility that it might as a last resort.

If you are indoors, and there is some sort of crisis going on regarding the economy, or a weather disaster, or other, and you think you WILL be searched, looted, or ransacked soon. you can revert to this condition that we are going to recommend. It is not so great a way to live, but there is a possibility that it may save your food and water and whatever else you need for survival, from being taken from you, and maybe even your life too.

So here it is. Do it at your own risk. Good Luck:

Look like you have already been ransacked!

We know that living an orderly life is good for your sense of well-being, but "desperate times call for desperate measures", meaning that during adverse conditions, you may have to resort to actions that you would have rejected under normal circumstances.

Pull out some of your furniture drawers and place them on the floor with the items thrown out of them and on the floor.

Hide your food and water, and rip, smash, or break off one of your kitchen cabinet doors and smash it up and throw it someplace on the kitchen floor. Make sure all the contents of your kitchen cabinets have been emptied out and hidden someplace else. Keep a few empty torn up boxes and broken utensils in the emptied cabinets. Throw some on the floor too.

Throw some pots and pans on the kitchen floor.

Go in the bathroom, and take a roll of toilet paper, smash it up and unroll it on the floor.

Go in your clothes drawers, and throw some clothes around the room. Leave some of the drawers partially opened.

You get the idea, so go into each room and throw some things around and break some stuff.

Just make sure it is still livable for you and your family. Don't break any glass, though, its too dangerous as it may cut you.

If you think that you and your family will be physically harmed, and you are very alert as to knowing exactly when you will be searched, then go hide somewhere that you have designated with your family that will be a safe area. This may be outside someplace. Then, when the searchers or looters enter your home, and it looks like it was ransacked, they will assume that all the valuable stuff was taken, and that your family left for good.

If you think that the conditions are worse than this, have your supplies ready in your back packs for your family, and this includes back packs for your pets too, and hide the backpacks someplace where they won't be found. If you must leave, then leave, "Get Out of Dodge", and hopefully, you have in mind a location to go to.

Good Luck!
